The following information is available for Woodhaven Baptist Deaf Church:
Woodhaven is a church where Deaf people can learn about Jesus without language or culture barriers. ASL is our main language. Voice interpreters provided.
Woodhaven Baptist Deaf Church is a place where Deaf/HOH individuals and families can come and be free from the day to day life of living in a hearing society where they are marginalized more often than not. A place where their language and culture is cherished and valued and is the prime focus of worship and services. Worship services are voice interpreted for family members who do not know ASL. Our membership is made up of Deaf, HOH, codas, hearing and of various backgrounds. All members are encouraged to learn ASL and to learn about the rich culture of the Deaf. It should be understood that Deaf Christians do not have the same freedom to attend ANY church they want to, unlike hearing Christians. That being the case, services and activities are geared towards the Deaf and HOH communities. All are welcome to come and worship the God who created all things, and all people for His own good pleasure. To come and experience the love of Christ, the Lord and Savior, God the Son.

Mary knew loss. She knew loss. As we remember mother's of all roads, we must remember her loss, which, ultimately became our gain. I also believe some husbands out there need to see this. Some know it, but need to be reminded. We all need reminders sometimes.
It is unfortunate that so many endure heartache and pain on Mother's Day, those who have lost children, on either side of the womb, and those who have lost the ability to be mothers (for one reason or another). Let's remember them all, honor them, for while their sacrifices vary, each has sacrificed, indeed. No captions. Not sped up. Interpreted into voice.
Our dear brother in Christ, Victor Vodounou, came to share about his mission work to Deaf children in Africa. He has an amazing heart for these children. If you would like to learn more, or support God's work among the Deaf children in Africa (the video gives more specifics, as does the website) you can visit here: http://www.live-ear.org/ Please join us in prayer as he prepares to bring a team to their Deaf camps!

Mother's Day is coming soon. Let us remember and be aware of the fact that there are many for whom this day brings much pain. Many who long to be mothers but for some reason are not able. Many who have lost a child or children. Here's a clip from last year's Mother's Day service. Much love from Woodhaven.
Our Easter Drama 2019....clothed in His righteousness, indeed!
Here is the full drama. For those who couldn't be with us, we hope it's able to be as powerful for you through video as it was in person. The team was amazing. Joel was so believable as he made his way across the sanctuary. Wow. Enjoy! And share!
